Yucca Valley, CA- Barney Brown, a 79 years old British Columbia resident was struck by a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup truck driven by a Yucca Valley Woman Wednesday the 6th at 6:15 PM.
Mr. Brown was walking southbound across Highway 62 west of Grand Ave. For unknown reasons, he walked directly into the path of the vehicle being driven by Velta Garcia 67.
Garcia was unable to avoid striking Brown. Brown suffered fatal injuries.
Brown was in town on vacation from Canada. The collision is still under investigation.
