Two Killed in Head On Collision in Morongo Valley

Marine Base CrossesOn Monday, January 28, 2013 at 3:25 PM, a BMW sedan was traveling westbound on State Route 62 near Highland Rd. and a Toyota SUV was traveling eastbound. The BMW crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck the Toyota head on.

The driver of the BMW, a 50 year-old male resident of Anaheim Hills, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:41 PM by paramedics.

The driver of the Toyota, a 54 year-old female resident of Morongo Valley, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:44 PM by paramedics.

The names are being withheld pending positive identification and notification of the next of kin. The California Highway Patrol is investigating this traffic collision.
