Yucca Valley, Ca.,- Town Council Candidate, Claude Short, announced he will not be seeking to fill the vacant seat on the March 5th Mail-in Ballot and withdrew his candidacy to support Candidate Bob Leone.  Short attended the 6 hour strategic planning meeting recently held by the Town Council and has expressed his concerns about the fiscal crisis facing the Town of Yucca Valley.

” I am endorsing 3-time former Yucca Valley Mayor Bob Leone is his effort to restore experience, leadership, and common sense to the Yucca Valley Town Council. At this critical time—with the town facing an unprecedented fiscal crisis–it is important to elect a candidate with Bob Leone’s trusted experience to bring a solution to address this crisis. I am asking all my supporters to vote for Bob Leone.”

Claude Short received over 3,000 votes in his bid for a seat on the Hi-Water District in the last election falling shy of 200 votes to become elected.

Short said he will work very hard on the campaign to elect Bob Leone and has signed on to be a part of the Citizen’s Initiative to discuss the Town’s sewer crisis to work with others for a fair and transparent solution.

He is a Special Needs teacher and is a volunteer with Guide Dogs of the Desert raising “Granet” for a special assignment.
