On 12/27/2012, at 11:35 PM, a 911 call was received reporting an off highway vehicle rollover in the Dumont Dunes Recreational Area.
Paramedics from Baker Ambulance responded and found the driver Michael Oakley, a 40 year old resident of Apple Valley, dead at the scene.
Oakley was ejected from the vehicle.
The two passengers in the vehicle were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
