Kingman, AZ– Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile, of Kingman, Sunday (12/16) afternoon on a probation violation felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court.
Saturday (12/15) afternoon deputies received an anonymous tip that a juvenile made a threat on the internet toward kids at school. The threat did not mention a particular school. Deputies attempted to locate the juvenile throughout the afternoon and evening. Deputies learned the juvenile to have an outstanding warrant.
Sunday (12/16) afternoon deputies received a call from the juvenile’s father. The father advised that he received a call from his son wanting to turn himself into authorities. At about 2:30 p.m., deputies took the juvenile into custody at the Sheriff’s Office. During conversations with the juvenile, he said that he was being stupid and he doesn’t want to harm anyone.
He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center. This case will be forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office for review.
