Knowing the difference between Earthly and Heavenly

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

While Congress is forbidden to violate the First Amendment, some churches believe they can violate it in every way. They can violate your  right to assemble, speak and petition your government and still consider itself an honorable All American institution. Some are unable to make a distinction between that of the flesh and that of the spirit.

Good thing I don’t belong to that church!!!

The reason I love my church so much is the fact that the church never gives up on me. The more I back slide the more the church cares. I am able to set in the same pew as Richard Warne and joyfully take from him the Sacrament without any feeling of animosity or ill will. Its is what we do. Heck we have Harry Reed and Mitt Romney. While we are mortal men, yet we are taught that those things of the outside world are left at the door step of our Ward Building.

The sinner is in more need of forgiveness and the power of the Lord than the righteous man. It just seems so alien to me the story I am about to tell you…………..

I was given a call by one of our posters that she has been told not to return to her church because of her political activity. It seems that she was brought before a panel of self appointed goodie two shoes,  and told that because a couple of their preferred parishioners had a hard on for her, therefore she would not be welcome to attend anymore Sunday Meetings.

She has been considered not part of the congregation…. some one outside of the flock. It was the desire of these guys that they cull her from the herd.

I am reminded of the parable of Jesus and the Samaritan Woman:

And then when I realize that Christ is our Truth and Salvation and this during the Season we celebrate his birth, groups of supposed Christians show themselves as nothing more that modern day Scribes and Pharisees that Christ himself Rebuked:

Once again I am proud of my church and when held against the light in comparison to this cult I know that we follow the precepts and tenets of Christ.

The day is coming¨the Judgment Day is coming¨when the human race will stand before God and God will say to a lot of people,  I was hungry and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me nothing to drink. I was in prison, and you didn’t visit me. I was naked and you didn’t give me any clothes, A lot of people will be confused by this, and they’ll say, No. That never happened. When did we ever see You like that? If we`d seen You like that, we would have done something! And then God will say, Whatever you did not do for the least of these,? ”Matthew 25: 31-45”

There is something terribly wrong with our brothers and sisters in Christ two towns West of us. We need to pray for these poor folks. They need to understand that, as was said in Luke 20:

19  ¶ And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.
20  And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
21  And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:
22  Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?
23  But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?
24  Show me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar’s.
25  And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.
26  And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marveled at his answer, and held their peace.

Folks there is an evil that seems to have taken on the cloak of righteousness in the Town of Yucca Valley. Some kind of Koolaid drinking crazies that are more interested in pleasing Caesar and not enough interest in pleasing the Lord.

Yeah your right… I’m pissed… I hate the occult.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah

Well if she had political views like that of the Westboro Baptist Church known for causing unruly disturbances at soldiers funerals I’d say she should be cast out. Without specifics it’s difficult to ascertain whether she was booted in a biblical manor. That is of course irrelevant if it is not a christian church. For that I have no insight as to the other beliefs code for discipline.

It is the battle for the soul of the Basin…. a Mega Church against the People….. It is a case of money makes might…. might makes right…. A case where descension is considered blasphemy…. What a scary bunch of people.

Like I said, I am glad my church knows the difference between the pulpit and politics. While my church tends to be very conservative, we would never deny our liberal brethren fellowship or for that matter leadership.

So, unless I missed something here in my bible study, Jesus ministered to the poor, the weak, the rejected of society. He had contempt for the self appointed, and self important.
