UPDATE: Ricky Held, the missing person recently reported out of Yucca Valley, was located this morning at a residence in the 6400 block of El Dorado Avenue in Yucca Valley. Ricky Held had been dropped off at that location by unknown persons during the late night hours of 12/03/12, the day he was first reported missing. Residents provided him with food and shelter but did not report his location to the Sheriff’s Department until they were told by friends about the missing person fliers that were being distributed in the local area by the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies found Ricky Held to be a bit disoriented, but in good spirits and uninjured, and they have returned him safely to his family.

Ricky Held has a partially disabled Left Arm and Left Leg. He has some mental limitations as the result of injuries sustained in a previous traffic collision. He was last seen by family members at his residence in Yucca Valley at about 0600 on 120312. Ricky Held is on foot, without identification money, or a telephone. His previous place of residence was in Apple Valley, CA.
Anybody having seen, had contact with, or knowledge as to the whereabouts of Ricky Held should contact the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station at 760-366-4175.

One of the lessons in this is to be sure that you have a current picture of the people in your home, disabled or not, for identification purposes. My drivers license picture is about 8 years old, and a few pounds ago.
