Ok. I checked the San Bernardino County Registrar’s website today and it looks like the race has been run! Although I did not make it into one of the available seats for Hi-Desert Water District, I DID make a pretty good showing. According to the SB Registrar, I made 3025 votes and I was about 500 votes short of taking a seat! Even if I got the whole 300 votes that are left to count, I would still be out of the running.

Anyway, although I’ve already congratulated the winners (Ms. Graham and Mr. Stadum) individually, I want to do it in a public forum. There are no hard feelings on my side. I learned a lot and had fun while running. I met some really nice people and got a lot of fresh air. Congratulations and I wish you well.

There has been SOME noise about me running again in 2 years. I still haven’t decided. I guess I’ll have to see if the election results sent the message I was trying to send: “The Rate Payers of Hi-Desert Water District are tired of Business as Usual. It is time for our Board of Directors to listen to the people they SERVE.”

If the message has been received, my job is done. Thank you to all 3024 of you who had faith in me and supported my efforts!
