On Saturday, November 17, 2012 at approximately 3:44 P.M, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to the area of  to assist Union Pacific Railroad Police investigate a train vs. pedestrian accident. Arriving deputies determined that an unidentified male was walking on the railroad tracks when he was struck by an approaching train.

The unidentified male was later pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Union Pacific Railroad, as well as Riverside County Coroner’s office arrived on scene to continue the investigation. Foul play is not suspected at this point in the investigation.
