Man killed in freak Industrial Accident

Trona, CA– On November 8, 2012 at approximately 6:45 PM, San Bernardino County Sheriff Department personnel were called to the 1300 block of Main Street, Trona, for the report of a man down.

Upon arrival, Sheriff Department personnel found a male adult pinned between a semi-tractor and trailer, with upper body trauma. 51 year-old Jose Oscar Nunez Saldana of Wasco, CA was declared dead at the scene. 

The State of California Division of Occupational Safety and Health and the San Bernardino County District Attorney are investigating the incident.

An autopsy will be performed by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner Department.
