On November 6, 2012 at approximately 8:56 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station responded to an assault that just occurred in the 14000 Block of Tom Court in Victorville. Two suspects assaulted the victim with a crowbar and sprayed a flammable liquid on his upper body, then set him on fire. The victim was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and treated for second degree burns to his face and upper body. The victim was later released from the hospital.
Detectives identified the suspects as Gildardo Camacho and his son, Jesus Camacho. Jesus Camacho was located in Ontario and arrested by Sheriff’s Detectives on November 6, 2012.
Gildardo Camacho turned himself in to the Ontario Police Department on November 7, 2012.
Gildardo and Jesus Camacho were booked for Attempted Murder and are currently in custody at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. They are being held on a No Bail immigration hold, along with bail was set at $500,000. for the original charge.
