We would like to thank you Hate Mungers and Merchants of Fear for bringing us another 1,100 votes.

IMG-20121102-00207

We also reject Hate and Fear. That is why you have not seen our side of this congressional election touch or damage a single of our opponents signs.

With 4 more days to go until election day, we would like to remind citizens that the pictures above show a disdain for common decency and a disbelief in the free flow of ideas. Those that would destroy political signs are the same that would silence their opponents with a gun. These are the same folks that whitewashed “JUDE” on the walls and windows of the future victims of the holocaust. Shame on you.

Vote for your Bill of Rights, Vote for Freedom of thought. Vote for Gregg Imus.

LOL, hate Mungers… The irony of the graffiti typifies those of ignorance. It’s like saying, I hate people that hate people. I had a liberal employee years ago that stated. ” I hate prejudice people” I couldn’t leave that one alone. I then asked her. So, what your saying is that your prejudice against prejudice people right? To my surprise she did answer, “I guess I never thought of it that way”
Who do these fear and hate Mungers think they’re fooling?

Larry, here in Lake Arrowhead, Greggs hometown, I have yet to see one defaced sign on either side.

This is a Morongo Basin thing Larry…. None of the signs in 29 Palms seem to be tagged…. only from JT to Morongo Valley

I guess we in 29 are not totally spared from vandalism. We got this sent to us from one of our readers. It was found Halloween Night.

  4. Lots of ways to mess with an election or a candidate. Hi Desert Star just buried a story about a major lawsuit filed against the trustees and foundation of Copper Mtn. College. The story ran in last Saturday’s “throwaway’ edition, which I could only find at local gas stations. Obviously, the voters won’t be informed of the corruption and illegal activities that the two incumbent candidates have engaged in. Hi Desert Publishing seems to be protecting these candidates, instead of reporting the real story. Shame on HDP for playing politics, instead of doing their job. How many other stories have been buried because of HDP’s allegiance to a few, at the expense of the many? As a taxpayer, I believe that we have the right to know the truth. The story didn’t show up in this week’s Desert Trail, either. Boycott these lame publications until they grow some journalistic integrity!!!!!

supersnooper, it’s clear you have strong views about this. I don’t know anything about it, but I do know that the Hi-Desert star very recently was asked in writing what code of ethics or canons of journalism they follow.

Many readers and newspapers themselves believe those ethics are important because they support “Freedom of the Press” and bring accountability to the public.

Anyway it is reported the Desert Star never responded. Maybe you can better success if you ask them in writing.

Journalistic ethics? From the Hi Desert Rag? Sounds like an oxy-moron. We have been stock-piling those “throwaway” editions for the winter though, puppies are trained, no birds, got to get the stove fired up still, keep ‘em coming, this may be a long winter.

I think this election is the beginning of the last chapter of the establishment media, MSM like faux cnn real newspapers and the rests first responsibility is to the stock holders no different to small outlets with minimal circulation like HDP and z107 who have their owner’s wishes as a priority. MSM targets the two billion the two parties are going to spend this cycle, while micro media outlets like the paper and radio station seeks backroom favors like theater 29s lease of $1 annually, and hopefully putting their fingers in the tax dollar stream like project phoenix
Every generation gets smarter wiser stronger leading to what we are now in an information revolution. As we say by to the establishment and its passive consumers lets participate and embrace the people’s information revolution. As the passive die off we need to assure outlets like Youtube and blogs like this one are unimpeded by government bureaucracy.

  5. Damn Dawgers

Hi all, i just had the pleasure of taking a sight seeing trip down the highway with my grandson, low and behold guess what he was reading on the way? Yep all those hate signs, “WE REJECT HATE, WE REJECT FEAR!” First of all who the hell is “WE”?
Hey pappa hows the weather there, I used to live in Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear Lake, loved it.
When I was a teenager My dad was a bartender there at the chalet in the village many moons ago. Loved that too, used to get in all the dances there for free and danced with all the down hillers.
This gangland grafitti crap just shows the mentality of those with a spraycan, and you know what they say, “STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES, and YOU CAN’T FIX STUPID! which goes back to the candidates also if they had anything at all to do with this. It is somewhat odd that the opponents signs aren’t bieng messed with. wouldn’t it be sweet if one of the taggers was caught in action. Someone had to have seen something going on at one of the spray painted signs. Speak up! Respectfully, damndawgers.

Wouldn’t it be funny/embarassing if everybody knew the tagger was a local resident/business owner with experience in graphic art/design, had a size 13 1/2 + shoe, had bragged to confidants about defacing Bob Duttons signs in the past, and was embroiled in litigation? No, I think it would only be embarassing and shameful, that is a stone I shall wait to cast.
