I am reminded by a Facebook post by one of my more liberal cousins that while I am inclined to rhetorically stick him in the neck with an Ice Pick, that in the end, after all is said, and after November 6th we are all family, neighbors and Americans. And yeah… I guess I love the left-wing loon…. He is my Cousin.
I look at the comments here and some of which are just downright tough to haul back and will be remembered long after November 6th. At the end of all this politicking we have to live and work together.
Take an example from us old hands at online politics. November 7th comes quicker than you think. As the dawn rises on that day we must all come together and once again unite as citizens of our Towns and cities, our County, State, and Country. In the end we are neighbors, friends and family that sometimes don’t agree. But in the end we all must work together to make our lives better.
Win, lose or draw, a guys like Steve Spear, Mark Clemons, Larry Briggs, Steve Whitten and Carey Alderson, and others who are left, right and nobody in the center will still remain my friends.
Richard Myers and I have been friends for 30 years, he is a hardcore lefty and I on the right, he’s a guy I would and did trust with my life, yet we know to keep away from each other in October of any election year. We have remained best friends through 6 Presidents.
We have far more in common, than one might think in the middle of any fighting for our candidate or proposition. We all want what is best for our community.
Look I am not asking you all to change the tenor of the conversation here, its great for the hits, but do realize we do not need to Balkanize the Basin, In the end we need one another. November 7th comes pretty damned quick and trust me Crow does not taste all that good….
One week to go,

Gov. Christie of New Jersey (R) praised President Obama (D) today for the help given during hurricane Sandy.
8 hours and no comments on my post. No new stories. Did Sandy shut GT down?
It is “CT” Larry Not “GT” but I know what you are talking about.
Depends on who you voted for the city council seats – care to talk about that?
No. That’s why we have secret ballots.
Pretty, well, lets say weak there Larry.
Most people champion for their leaders. They proudly proclaim who they will vote for and why.
I, my wife, my sons, and many others from all over the city voted for Heiser and Klink and we proclaim it. Many were not well informed of the Bond Debt but now are and are not very happy about it. I did my job.
Are you ashamed of who you voted for or do you not wish to offend anyone that is part of the clique?
As a former Marine I did not think that you would shirk from accountability. You made sure to oppose me in my second run for office. Why is it different to say who you support just as publicly as you opposed me?
Only 6 days and counting!
Steve, I don’t think it’s your business to know who Larry voted for. I do applaud you and your wife for making your positions public but you should respect Larry and anyone else’s right to privacy. Trying to shame him into confession isn’t polite.
Hi Papa,
I don’t think I can shame Larry at all.
I just think it is somewhat disingenuous to spend good money in opposing me in my successful 2nd run for office in 2006 and then in 2012 not saying who you are voting for.
I guess it is okay to not have privacy about who you are against but it is okay to have privacy when it comes to who you are for?
I don’t buy it at all or at least understand it is more likely.
Awww, do you need a group hug Dan? lol, civility-yes, welcoming liars, scoundrels and miscreants back into the fold? NO, I just can’t muster that much charity,Lord forgive me, and them too. My tone will not change, I’ll call a spade a spade, a moocher is a moocher, and low level, communist, infiltrator scum will always be in my crosshairs, figuratively of course. One more week until the end of hostilities, then a short break, and it’s back on the lines wednesday to keep them in check or file the papers, as one battle draws to a close, the war rages on.
