With a little more than two weeks until election day, I want to reiterate why I am seeking your vote. The Hi Desert Publishing Co. compliments me as a researcher and a watchdog, but then decides that I am better suited to a commission. We only have one and that is the Planning commission. While the Planning commission is of vital importance to the city, it is not where I want to serve. Instead, I have asked you to place your trust in me and vote for me for City Council.
I wonder who would not want a city council representative that researches and is a watchdog? hmmm…..
Joel Klink and John Cole do have stability and knowledge, but the same can be said of the other council members, the areas that need to be improved are the very same skills that I possess: research, comprehension, teaching, and the belief that the government belongs to the people of 29 Palms.
If you, the voter would like to see each issue discussed openly before the public, if you want a representative that is able to let go of personal views to listen to you and then reflect your desires in voting, then I ask that you consider me for that position.
I do not own anything in this town, except my home and the land it sits upon. I owe no allegiance to anything in this town, but I do hold sacred the oath of office. We are a representative republic. I will represent every citizen in 29 and work with you to make this a better place to live.
Thank you,
Cora Heiser
To The Voters of Twentynine,

Cora definitely has my vote and the votes of everyone I know.
By research Cora means she will actually read the appropriate laws before signing off on items submitted to the Council from the City Manager and his out-of-town lawyers.
She has ALL residents of 29 Palms best interests at heart, not just the few who have the Council’s ear and seem to think the rest of us are of no consequence.
She is definitely NOT cut from the same cloth as some of our current council-members/city-staff that thought $250,000 to keep the Fire Dept wasn’t worth the effort but considered $300,000 for a splash park to be of great importance to the City’s well being.
You keep it up Steve and tell as many people as possible. I am doing the same thing from Stater Brothers to the golf course on Base.
I keep recommending that they vote for Heiser and Klink – and people are actually listening and agreeing.
Take a look at that poll in the newspaper and if that percentage holds up in the election we as a city will be better off. Heiser and Klink are carrying the day.
Sorry for the misspelling Cora.
