Mark Nuaimi and Yucca Valley Town Staff donate $1,000.00 each towards Pro Measure U

Yucca Valley , Ca.- Follow the money trail and connect the dots.  The 13 page Form 460 filed by the Political Action Committee reveals over $23,000.00 was raised to promote Measure U, the Town of Yucca Valley 30 year-1% sales/use tax which is projected to raise over $160 million to the Town’s General Fund. The filing period covers July1st-September 30, 2012, reporting donations of $23,527.00, expenses of $6,222.00 with an ending balance of $16, 899.00.

While the Town of Yucca Valley cannot legally advocate for the tax measure, Town Manager Mark Nuaimi has been out and about posting pro-Measure U signs at several questionable locations.  Now we know where the money came from to purchase the signs and mass mailings in an overkill to litter the town with glossy ads. >>LINK

Some of the contributors are recently new to our local politics due to  Nuaimi’s personal relationship with the donors who contributed to Dawn Rowe and Chad Mayes in their bid for Yucca Valley Town Council back in 2010. Nuaimi leaned on his friends friends from Burrtec for donations and sponsorships, both only a call away to their personal cell phones.

One donor,G & L Realty from Beverly Hills, (Developer of the new Rite-Aid center) contributed $1,500.00 towards Asst. Deputy Town Manager, Shane Stueckle, cash bonus for being tapped “Employee of the Year,” also donated to Rowe and Mayes Town Council campaign and is currently listed donating $1,000.00 to promote Measure U. Shane Stueckle story >>>LINK

One of the expenses listed is for a consulting firm of Tab Communications, also a friend of Nuaimi.>>>LINK

When the RFQ/RFP, requests for qualifications and proposal, were sent out to hire a campaign consultant for this tax measure, only one agency responded which was Lew Edwards and Associates.(Tab Communications did submit an email bid at the last moment which I felt was highly suspicious because he deleted his previous campaign work for Mark Nuaimi, Paul Cook and Janice Rutherford in his proposal.) Since Nuaimi technically had two proposals to choose from, the “Staff” selected Lew Edwards and Associates.>>>LINK

Yucca Valley was a much nicer community before incorporation, since then it has turned into any other city in Southern California, much to the chagrin of the fine folks who live there, as we were long time residents too. Politicians have a way of ruining all things good while enriching themselves along the way. We’ve seen this story played out time and again, anyone remember the City of Bell,Ca? There is a “brood of vipers” in Yucca Valley, they posture and pontificate, they feel so self important, they pat each other on the back and proudly wear the mantle of self appointed do-gooders in the community. What a repulsive collection of fraudulent, kiniving, sociopaths. Any one of them would be shamed at their behavior, if they could muster a conscience collectivly amongst them. The problems we face as a nation are mirrored right here in our own community, corruption, cronyism, self serving political hacks, nepotism, the incestous relationships between town employees and former employers. It has been said that smart people don’t run for office, that point is underscored by the majority of those already ‘serving’ the town of Yucca Valley and the Morongo Basin.
