Democrats and Republicans Kick Up Their Heels at Joint Meet n’ Greet

PRESS RELEASE

DEMOCRATIC CLUB EVENT REACHES ACROSS PARTY LINES

Candidates for almost every open local seat will gather at the Roadhouse Café this Thursday, Oct. 18 to meet voters, talk about issues, and participant in brief interviews for later broadcast on Time Warner’s public access channel. The Morongo Basin Democratic Club is hosting the event which runs from 5:30 to 7:30 Thursday evening. The event is open to all candidates running for local, non-partisan offices. The public is invited to attend regardless of party affiliation.

“Republicans and Democrats alike want safe, clean communities, with good schools, employment opportunities, appropriate development and access to healthcare,” said Club Vice President, Don Krouse. “That’s why we want every citizen of Morongo Basin to know they’re welcome at Thursday’s ‘meet and greet,” he added.

Complementary light appetizers will be served; there will be a no host bar. The space will be set up like a mini-convention complete with delegations, balloons, voter registration and even baby kissing.

The Roadhouse is at 57173 Sunnyslope Dr. a block off Hwy 247 in Yucca Valley.  This  event is accessible to persons with disabilities. More information, links and resources are online at www.MBDems.com .
