Reports are coming in today of how Cole can’t keep his composure. It seems that Cole is adverse to citizens speaking their minds and if they, heaven forbid, remind Cole of the right thing to do in their opinion, he just has to throw in his two cents. Well a penny maybe.
When a citizen is afforded time to speak at a council meeting it is the citizen’s time and the council needs to sit there and listen. Instead Cole seems to think that he must have the last word and offers condescending remarks and or his personal opinion about what the citizen just spoke about.
I have a piece of news for Cole. I will be advising everyone that I know that wishes to speak at a council meeting that should you then offer your unwarranted comments following their remarks, then you have just turned the agenda item of “public comments” into a debate and that all of us will then get back up to the podium to reply to your rudeness as a public official.
Should you desire to deny that right that we as citizens have then you better have a plan to deal with it. Your best first option is to keep your opinions to yourself before you turn our council meetings into a total fiasco.

That Steve, to which you address, is a stellar example of arrogance and haughtiness on the part of John Cole. If anyone has been reading the (short)questions on the local radio station’s webpage and in the STAR concerning questions asked of the three candidates for city council, Cole does not answer questions. He defers the answer pending something else in the future.
IT IS TIME FOR JOHN COLE to be replaced.

What is laughable is that you come on here and chime in on something that does not even apply to you.
I wrote you off a long time ago. Stick with the mountains it suits you better. You don’t see me messing around in your tree bark beetle issues or your perceived problem with the roads up there in the mountains.
Just for the record I never once in 8 years on the council ever spoke after a citizen said their piece during “public comments”.
And BTW just one of the persons that Cole was being rude to was our city Fire Chief. I wonder who knows more about public safety? Our Fire Chief or a retired school district administrator? Hmm……
