The only thing that stands in the way of a complete collapse of Civilization is our own Rick Blaine, Gregg Imus.
Well it was “Play it again, Sam,” this weekend when the Terrorist Wing of the Paul Cook Campaign organization made a project of Tagging Imus Signs. It was Hate Speech in full force.
Both internal and external polling show that Candidate Gregg Imus has a commanding lead amongst likely voters for the November 6th Election for the 8th Congressional District . That has the Cook Camp in total Terror.
Unable to help himself or stop his surrogates, Paul Cook has kicked into total dirty politics mode. This weekend has seen another round of Cook Chicago Gangland Tagging through out the 8th District.
With Cook’s gang of thugs with a safe house in Hesperia they have spread out this weekend to tag Gregg Imus signs in the Victor Valley with Swastikas, we in the Morongo Basin saw his signs tagged with “Tea Party Taliban.”
It is a sign of desperation, poor sportsmanship and a downright smallness in moral character to purposefully standby while your surrogates abuse the Freedom of Speech.
Mr. Cook, you have a responsibility to curb your hounds. Your conduct is not only unbecoming of an ex-officer but an ex-Assembly member. Cook has a duty to his fellow Republicans, the Constituency of the 65th Assembly District and now the entire 8th Congressional District to denounce this kind of Chicago type politics and run a clean campaign. I personally don’t think the guy has the ability to practice fair play.
I talked to Gregg Imus this morning and he will be filing police reports on these acts of political intimidation and vandalism. We hope that the Sheriffs Department will take this kind of political thuggery seriously and quickly make arrests.
Look folks it is obvious the better man in this election is Gregg Imus. He has ran a clean campaign. He has offered to debate Paul Cook any time any where, and has been answered with silence from the Candidate Cook and vandalism from his supporters.
The Imus team needs to keep the their eyes on the ball. Let’s not let this kind of petty Chicago gangland political tricks to derail the Imus momentum.
As for Paul Cook….. Stand up Say Something, and put a stop to this kind of dirty politics.

What is your reasoning accusing cook supporters? I know you would not withhold important facts from your loyal readers. Personally I am not a crook supporter and will be holding my nose in the both when voting for our great want a be illegal slayer. No one should tolerate destroying campaign sign. But we all should tolerate the presumption of innocence where evidence is lacking.
It is obviously clear he supports such activity as this is the third time this has happened in as many weekends. He has made no public statement showing he is concerned with a clean campaign. He has been given every opportunity to denounce this kind of activity and he as remained silent.

More proof is required instead of no proof. It does not seem “obviously clear” Cook supports defacing political signs of Imus, a criminal activity. More proof is needed that merely a cockeyed statement painting Cook as “evil” (sinful, immoral).
There are many political parties and independent voters out there, why allege it was “Cook terrorists” as the culprits whom defaced the signs. That is bias.
We need more proof, less speculations, and factual arguments to taint Cook.

Since Cook is silent on the signs being defaced, one can also argue Imus is silent on the personal attacks that Cook to be evil and complacent on the defiling of the signs.

Campaign signs getting stole or vandalized is nothing new and would bet that somewhere in the district cooks signs have also been vandalized. Those that cry the loudest are usually not in the lead. They often doing the damage themselves or by supporters hoping for a sympathy vote.A candidate can hardly be responsible for his supporter’s unwise actions, however cook definitely should put out a public statement condemning the vandalizing, just as Imus should put out a statement addressing this distraction that dilutes the real issues that face us as a nation. Have not heard of any P Ss , any of those radio listeners out there hear anything from Cook or Imus.

Dan, While i am also supporting Greg, And like you believe that Paul has completely abandoned his supporters, I also don’t believe he has had anything to do with either telling someone to damage, or even quietly supporting that kind of crap.I do know one of his field reps that offered to help replace some of the damaged signs a couple weeks ago.

Here is the point, It is some zealot that thinks he or she is helping Cooks cause, going out and tagging Gregg Imus signs. Every day that Cook remains silent on the issue he looks to the voter as if he is supporting such activity. I am not going to tell the Cook camp how to run a campaign but he publicly needs to denounce those who would vandalize in his name. That would put a stop to it.
It may look bad, Dan, as you say, however there is NO NEXUS to Cook being behind the vandalism. And suggesting he is is will not help Gregg Imus. He should prompt you to back off on the accusations.

Went out to survey the damage/decipher the message this evening. First, I’m reminded of the addage,”There is no bad publicity” with all of the added attention being drawn to Gregg Imus’ signs there is a greater chance that those who may have been undecided or not even going to vote, will now be looking at the platform of this candidate and make a more educated decision on who they will vote for in November. Second, is the message, last week this bathroom poet attempted to wrap him/her/itself in the cross and portend Holy jugdment on supporters of Imus. This week’s message is more a sign of the current feelings in the oppositions camp, FEAR – of losing & HATE – ing who they are losing to, it is a sad comentary by a small and defeated adversary. They should be easily identified in public, though not by the dried paint on their hands, but by their sullen, down-trodden and vanquished demeanor. It is time they fall on their swords, and end this sophmoric behavior, salvage what honor you can.
