Yucca Valley, California.-Trying to interview the reclusive congressional candidate, Paul Cook, on his campaign trail has been akin to finding the silly character hiding in a complex visual called “Where is Waldo?” His young Staff members and handlers have been filling in for him, as was the case of Yucca Valley Mayor/Cook Field rep and Campaign staffer, Dawn Rowe when Cook was a no show at  his own hometown candidate forum. The most important crisis of his own town of Yucca Valley is the prohibition of septics and the looming sewer project set to financially crush this low income town. In his own words posted on YouTube, this town will become a ghost town. Link here.

Measure U is a 1 cent General Fund sales tax that will not pay for the sewer and  placed on the Town of Yucca Valley November ballot.

Is Cook Confused About U?

“When Assemblyman Cook’s office was first contacted about the matter at 3:00 pm today, Matt Knox, Cook’s District Director, stated that Cook was OPPOSED to Measure U. However, upon trying to confirm that Cook was against Measure U, an unpopular local sales tax initiative that is being promoted by Cook’s foot soldiers, including his campaign donors Yucca Council members Huntington and Lombardo, Cook’s office indicated at 8:25 pm though Chief of Staff John Sobel that Matt Knox had been mistaken and that Paul Cook had no position on Measure U.”
