Three injured in desert head on…

Yucca, AZ– Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two vehicle injury accident that occurred in the area of S Butch Cassidy Road and Cholla Drive Sunday (9/23) morning. Approximately 9:20 a.m. deputies responded to the scene. Lance Arbogast, 55, of Bullhead City, was driving a 1984 Ford Bronco with his 11-year-old grandson.

Arbogast was traveling westbound on a gas line road. As Arbogast crossed S Butch Cassidy Road, he collided with the front of a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Francine Virginia Armendariz, 57, of Yucca.

After colliding, the Chevrolet truck caught fire and burned completely up. Passing motorists were able to remove Armendariz before the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.

Yucca Fire Department personnel responded and extricated the occupants of the Bronco. The occupants of both vehicles were airlifted to Las Vegas trauma centers. All subjects are in serious but stable condition.

This accident remains under investigation.
