Phelan, Ca-- On September 14, 2012, at 1:04 PM, Officers of the California Highway Patrol responded to the area of Rancho Road and Buttonwood Street, Phelan, due to the report of a motorcycle accident.
When officers arrived they found Ray Mark, an 82 year-old resident of Phelan and sole rider of a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle, lying unresponsive on Rancho Road.
Mark was transported to Desert Valley Hospital where he was declared dead at 2:26 PM.
An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
