Neil Derry, Gregg Imus,Paul Cook, Bob Dutton and other candidates for the November 6th election met at Appleby’s restaurant in Redlands to dish out pancakes to hungry guests at this Meet & Greet & Eat!
Bob Leone,Yucca Valley Write-in candidate for Town Council was in attendance as a guest dishing out politics too.
The tradition of mixing pancakes with politicians is very popular on the East Coast and some even claim it started in Michigan. It was a great success and all the candidates were upbeat with less than 60 days remaining in this race.
Next time, I will hold out for political luncheons and dinners due to the early morning departure from Yucca Valley in order to arrive at 8am in Redlands. I rode up with reporter, Sharon Gilbert, who is very knowledgeable with the political arena and covered this event.
