On 08/25/2012 at 10:41 PM, a 911 call was received reporting a single vehicle rollover accident on State Highway 62 at mile marker 104 in the rural area of Vidal Junction.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene to find the driver, 34 year-old Emiliano Martinez of Indio and front seat passenger 31 year-old Jennifer Segura of Coachella, dead at the scene.
Martinez was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

The Public Affairs Division consists of specialized units, Media Liaison, Community Liaison, Labor/Industrial Relations, Operation CleanSWEEP, Crime-Free Multi-Housing, Juvenile Intervention Program and Special Projects. The division serves as a departmental representative by fostering relationships between the organization and the communities.
