On 08/19/2012, at 07:12 AM, a 911 call was received reporting an overturned vehicle in the desert .2 miles east of Cadiz Rd. in Cadiz Ca. The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded and found a Hispanic male lying beside the vehicle deceased.
It appeared that the vehicle, a 2002 Ford Explorer was traveling westbound on US Highway 66 when it swerved and left the roadway, rolling over an unknown number of times before coming to rest on its driver’s side.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. The decedent is currently unidentified and is listed as “John Doe #79-12.”
The Coroner Division is investigating the identity of the decedent. Once determined, and family is notified, the name will be released.
