Bob Leone, a Write-In Candidate for Yucca Valley Town Council?

Yucca Valley, Ca.-The highest vote getter of any campaign race since the incorporation of the Town of Yucca Valley is coming out of retirement to run for office.  He wants the citizens to have a choice this November as there were no challengers to incumbents elected George Huntington and appointed Robert Lombardo, who was the second appointment to the dais.

Bob Leone is a beloved councilman holding the seat of Mayor of Yucca Valley four times.  Bringing his vast experience and wisdom will represent all the citizens and he lives in the west end of Yucca Valley.

The current town council all live in the Sky Harbor area and have less than a total of 8 years council experience among the four.  There has been no stability on the town council with three resignations. Two council members of the four seated were appointed by their colleagues. The third council member to vacate his seat was Isaac Hagerman, recently quitting after only full filling 1year 8 months of his four-year term. The one common denominator to this upheaval is the arrival two years ago of town manager, Mark Nuaimi.

The timing of Hagerman’s resignation just shy of allowing this vacancy be filled on this November ballot which conjured up conspiracy theories among the pundits, however, the Yucca Valley Town Council will call for a March election to fill the vacant seat at this Tuesday’s meeting.

Stay tuned for the official announcement and press release…..
