Near Desert Hot Springs, Calif -

On Saturday night vandals broke into the Save-A-Pet shelter near Desert Hot Springs and stole all all of the cat and dog food.

They also tried to break into the tool shed.

Save-A-Pet says that what they didn’t take, they trashed.

Thankfully none of the animals were hurt.

But, the damage and stolen goods will cost the shelter around $3,000.

The shelter purchased an emergency supply of food that’ll get them through Wednesday.

Public contributions would be gratefully accepted.

You can make a donation at the shelter’s website by credit card or PayPal.

Donations can also be made over the phone, just call 760-251-1400.

Checks can be mailed to Save-A-Pet, 67-600 18th Avenue, Desert Hot Springs CA 92262

Also donations of cans or bags of dog and cat food can be dropped of at the shelter.

Puppies require canned puppy food.
