On March 16, 2009, at about 4:46 p.m., the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s, Victor Valley Station, received a report of found remains in the desert area south of Northside and west of Lincoln in Lucerne Valley. Deputies responded to the area and determined the remains were in fact human. Deputies were unable to determine the cause of death and requested the Homicide Detail to assist in the investigation.
Detectives determined the remains were placed at the location. The scene was processed for evidence and the Coroner Division responded to take the remains. A Forensic Anthropologist will conduct an examination of the remains to assist in the identification of the remains. A search will be conducted by the Victor Valley Station on Saturday, March 20, 2010, to look for additional remains and evidence.
