Yucca Valley, Ca.- I have not spoken with our past Mayor Robert (Bob) Leone but I would like to put a plea to his ear about running for Town Council this November and hope you will join me when you see him.
Here is the message I would like for him to contemplate..
Dear Bob, “As a retired and respected leader of our community we are in need of your past council experience of many years and would support your candidacy for Yucca Valley Town Council this November 2012. Will you consider running for office?”
Bob Leone, an experienced voice.
Bob Leone, the man of the people, was grounded with serving the citizens as his priority and his duty. Spending countless hours representing the Town of Yucca Valley on and off the dais, he has a proven track record.
Presently, there are four Yucca Valley Town Council members remaining out of five that live in Upper Sky Harbor with three worshiping at the same church and it is time for diversity. The Sky Harbor Five has been reduced to “The Four” because Isaac Hagerman quit last week leaving the seat open until the next election cycle.
This November: Elected Past Mayor, George Huntington, is up for reelection. Appointed YV Councilman, Robert Lombardo, is up for reelection.
George Huntington-A valued asset to Yucca Valley.
Yucca Valley Town Councilman, George Huntington, has pulled papers to run for re-election and has served the citizens very well. He worships at another church. Bringing his wisdom, experience and YV Planning Commission experience to the dais, he is a valued asset to this inexperienced council. George Huntington was elected and did not rely on endorsements or builder/developer contributions for his win. He ran on his own dime, he was his “own man.” I expect he will have an easy win.
Vote for Bob Leone-Town Council 2012- Time for Diversity
With Bob Leone seated at the dais along with George Huntington, the Town of Yucca Valley will have more diversity, experience and wisdom to guide our town through these rocky times.
Bob Leone lives on the west side of town, a neglected “Old Town,” that has a great future, if nurtured and he worships at a different church.
These two candidates have the time to fully devote their attention to serve Yucca Valley, both are retired and no young family responsibilities.
I can dream……I will pray…..for these two to be seated on the Yucca Valley Town Council this November.
Citizens, won’t you join me?
