JOSHUA TREE, CA – What do Dennis Miller, Billy Crystal, IBM, David Letterman, Larry Sanders, Michael Keaton, Budweiser, Ing Bank, Conan O’Brien, Aisha Tyler, the 2012 Oscar Awards, and the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Blak Box Theater all have in common? It’s the comedy of Emmy Award-winning comedian and writer, Jeff Cesario! On Saturday, July 21st at 6:30 pm the Blak Box Comedy Club doors open once again to bring a night of hilarity and wit to the Morongo Basin. With a no-host full bar and air-conditioned club-like bistro setting, the transformed theater will feature professional comedic entertainment with headliner Jeff Cesario and returning comedians Cary Odes, Jeff Jeffers and Chris Crandall. The club doors open with a social party at 6:30 pm followed by the comedy show at 7:30 pm.

“We were thrilled to be able to attract such a well-known, incredible talent as Jeff Cesario to Joshua Tree!” remarked the Center’s president, Jarrod Radnich. “We invite everyone to come experience top-quality professional entertainment in our own community. If you’ve never seen the inside of this intimate venue, you are in for a real surprise and treat.”

Cesario is a veteran of the Tonight show, Letterman, Late-Late Show and four of his own specials including Comedy Central. He stars in “The Dick Rossi Show” and has also been hired to entertain the corporate elite of IBM, Budweiser, Amex, ING Bank, and more. He also won two Emmys for his work on HBO’S “Dennis Miller Live”, worked on the great “Larry Sanders Show,” & wrote the Warner Brothers feature, “Jack Frost.” Most recently Jeff wrote for the 2012 Oscars with Billy Crystal, and was the lead writer on Spike TV’s “Guys Choice Awards.”

The state-of-the-art Blak Box Theater is located behind the Kaye Ballard Theater at 61231 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree. While the club’s comedy is “clean”, this evening’s subject matter is for adults, and children under the age of 16 will not be admitted.  Tickets are $20.  For more information and/or to purchase tickets online, visit www.hidesertculturalcenter.com or call the Box Office at 760.366.3777.
