Breaking News….
Twentynine Palms, Ca.- While some have been waiting for an explanation of the cancellation of the City Council and Oversight Board Meetings or even the “Top Ten” reasons as in David Letterman style, it seems there are now 193,000 reasons to conduct these meetings.
According to a field report from Cora Heiser, the California State Department of Finance has ruled the City of Twentynine Palms must pay back immediately to them, the sum of $193,000.00 dollars, payable in US Currency, of course.
With all the acronyms being tossed about like ROPS…..this IOU is due to the DOF as an YOM…..(You Owe Me)…..ASAP!
More details will be be made available with Cora’s report with all the facts on this breaking news.
Stay tuned….

Correction: San Bernardino County Controller’s Office.I tried to reach their office by telephone today but the lines are jammed. The tax office asked me to contact Yucca Valley for their payback amount and then I explained Nuaimi’s tight grip on disclosing any information or allowing a Staff member to respond.
Margo, it’s interesting how blatant city managers are when it comes to the obstruction of Disclosure & Transparency.
It seems both the city manager and legal council have created a situation by which they do not like being told what to do. I still predict A. Patrick Muniz — the crowning king of bad legal advice — will recommend that the City sue the state in a a dead-end game with hundred of thousands of tax money waisted in the wake.
Curtis Yakimow advises the letter should arrive any day now regarding Yucca Valley.
Thank you very much Curtis.

Hughyaola Budgets in a Crisis? Think they should pay back the State in the form of 193,000,000 pennies delivered by armoured van!
What ever it takes Peytonplace. What ever makes the council feel good. But they better have that check wrote out or the pennies rolled and in the County Auditors hands by the 17th of this month.
Dan,
I believe it is due tomorrow the 12th.
Hi Cora,
No it is due and payable today! Like by Midnight, 12:00 PM, the “Witching Hour”.
Pay it NOW!
PeytonPlace, that $193,000.00 thousand dollars; not $193 million. Besides the money largely goes to schools and colleges as opposed to duplicating a city playhouses and an underused second city center. Future generations were swept aside because the City thumbed it’s noise at California law; they followed the advise of dumb-ass, self-serving attorney who raked in the fees and a secured an outrageous percentage of the total Bond for himself and Rutan & Tucker.
