I would like to thank the City of Twentynine Palms and The Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce for putting on what might be the single best 4th of July celebration in memory.
The crowds grew from a few hundred to several thousand. I can’t say how many thousands, we were way to busy too count.
Every vendor and club that were providing food and beverage to the crowds ran out of food and drink.
We were swamped the crowd was 20 deep at times.
The Music……. Was load.
The fireworks were fantastic….. worth every penny the city spent.
The crowd was friendly, hometown and with few exceptions having a memorable experience at Luckie Park.
If you were not there, you missed the best event of the Summer.
It was a Blast at the Park!,

I agree with your post. Little kids waving tiny American flags, families with strollers and the location was great! It seemed like I was in the mid-west somewhere with citizens beaming with pride, courteous and proud to be an American.
All that was missing was the 4H club and the annual baked pie contest!
God Bless American!
Kudos to 29 Palms City for this wonderful event!
Dan,
It was great to see so many people out and enjoying the 4th. I was impressed by how polite the drivers were. It could have taken a while to get out, but everyone was letting out one or two cars and waiting patiently to get to the roads and get out. I think I was out and home within 15 minutes. Could it be the beginning of more base/town events in town?
