“2012 Spring Concert in Luckie Park” Saturday, May 19, 12:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The City of Twentynine Palms Recreation Department presents the “2012 Spring Concert in Luckie Park.” Three bands will perform on the stage north of the racquetball courts in Luckie Park, Saturday, May 19, from 12:30 to 8:30 p.m. A beer booth, food vendors, and inflatable bouncers will all be part of the festivities, and admission is free. Gather your friends, lawn chairs and blankets, and don’t miss this community celebration of music.

12:30 p.m. – REACTION Band

Reaction is one of the desert’s most exciting, high energy cover bands. Made up of professional local and international touring musicians, reaction delivers music from a wide variety of genres including Top 40/pop, R & B, soul, disco, reggae, jazz, blues, and classic rock. The members of Reaction have performed at many Palm Springs area favorite live music venues, as well as major Southern California and Las Vegas casinos.

3:30 p.m. – Lazy Brad Lewis Band

Brad Lewis hails from Toronto, Canada. A student of New Orleans legend Ernest McLean, Brad formed his own country band, Cheyenne, awarded Band of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year from the Canadian Country Music Association in the early 90s. Brad put together his solo CD, “All My Friends Are Bartenders,” in 2006, followed by “DownInside” in 2009. Lazy Brad Lewis always surprises the unsuspecting ear, with a mandolin tune, an oldies tune, and good country music.

6:30 p.m. – SOUTHBOUND

With a southern rock mix that sounds like a combination of Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, Merle Haggard, CCR and Jeremy Camp all rolled into one, Southbound ain’t no garage band. All the members have been playing music for over 30 years and are very passionate about what they do. The Band’s goal is to continue to improve while doing what they consider is a God-given gift to share with others.

The “2012 Spring Concert in Luckie Park” is made possible by our generous sponsors: American Legion Post 761, Officer’s Spouse’s Club, 29 Palms Chamber of Commerce, Fosters Freeze, Larry Briggs Realtor, Anytime Septic Service, and Z107.7 FM Radio.
