    Mr. Warne,
Just because we live in the desert, doesn’t make us stupid. I just left City Hall where I asked for the Department of Finance letter and his appeal letter and was told they would get back with when they had something. I asked why don’t you have it now? I do. I was told by staff, that they had 10 days. The games people play. Let’s hold this $200,000 employee accountable show up at the meeting tomorrow night!!!

Cora, not only are they playing games with you but most likely doing it upon the direction of the City Manager, they just violated the law. They did the same thing with me a few weeks back. When you walk in and ask to view or copy a document. The government code is written such that it must be expedited while you are there. However, Warne makes his own law.

Richard Warne is a municipal God. And he lies.

We were warned by taxpayers in Warne’s previous city before he was hired here how he operates. Pay a guy a half million a year and he moons the public.

If I read that correctly One million three hundred thousand plus for admin cost, someone is fat and happy while 99% are in troubling times. You fools might not think it is time to fire the city, but I have to ask what has the city done for you? Is our town better as a city? How much has it cost to have the extra layer of government? How many businesses has been turned away by our nazi city planners? Maybe you knuckleheads can at least recognize we have an over paid city manager.
Good Job Dan I guess all we can do is to try to inform the voters; after all we get what the voters want.

Can you believe it. What a complete humiliation and repudiation of the City of Twentynine Palms’ attempt to cheat the system.

And then hiding the whole thing from the Council, and Oversight Board, then going rogue on us and appealing with out direction from the governing body.

      This guy needs to go.

      • “This guy”? Which one? From here, it’s looking like there’s a list of people who need to go up there in the upper mucky-muck. For a town with so many good, friendly, helpful people working in the government, there certainly is an incredible amount of unjustifiable fat.

We will release the letter as soon as it arrives. We believe that the public should be aware of the situation.Of course City Manager should be releasing both letters to the oversight board and tell the truth when questioned.

The State made a mistake in my opinion by allowing more stakeholders than public members comprise the Oversight Board.

      Steve,
I think you are right. However, we are all accountable for our decisions. The RDA had a responsibility to make a decision regarding the bonds. The Successor Agency had a responsibility to wind down and transfer all assets from the city to the agency, and to appoint two positions to the oversight board, taxing entities representatives have responsibility to their taxing agencies and to scrutinize the ROPS and protect the interest of their agencies. But ultimately, this comes down to one man, Richard Warne. His character was tested and he proved himself to be untrustworthy.
