Victorville, CA– On Monday, February 13, 2012, at approximately 4:11 p.m., Victorville Deputies were dispatched to a report of a physical altercation between the victim and her boyfriend. The suspect, Andrew Sharp 26, fled the scene in his vehicle upon deputy’s arrival.

Suspect Sharp failed to yield to deputies, fled through a parking lot and eventually abandoned his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Suspect Sharp refused to comply with deputies commands and resisted arrest. Deputies used their TASER to gain compliance and took the suspect into custody without further incident.

Through further investigation it was learned that suspect Sharp had assaulted and attempted to choke his girlfriend before fleeing from deputies. The suspect was found to have drug paraphernalia on his person and was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Suspect Sharp was arrested and booked at Victor Valley Jail on charges of PC273.5-felony spousal abuse, VC2800.1- felony evading and H&S11377(a)-possession of a controlled substance.
