Morongo Basin’s Veterans’ Day Tribute 2011

Twentynine Palms, CA – The City of Twentynine Palms is pleased to announce the Morongo Basin’s Veterans’ Day Tribute 2011.  This is an annual event that alternates each year between the Town of Yucca Valley and the City of Twentynine Palms.  This event will be held in the City of Twentynine Palms on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. To 2:00 p.m. in Veterans’ Park next to City Hall.

The 29 Palms Mojave Vipers will be hosting a Free Veterans’ Appreciation Breakfast that morning from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the 29 Palms Senior Center, located at 6539 Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms.  The breakfast will be open to all Veterans, Firefighters, Law Enforcement, Service Members, Elected Officials and staff.

The Veterans’ Tribute will include keynote speakers, static displays of law enforcement equipment, Fire Department and military equipment.  There will also be music and entertainment.  In honor of our armed forces, the City is looking for organizations to participate by providing a display or booth reflecting the United States armed forces veterans.  If your organization is interested in participating in this event, please contact Cindy Villescas at (760) 367-6799.
