The the City Council will review, discuss and consider the proposed Land Use, Circulation and Infrastructure Alternatives. 5.0 ADJOURN

Open Letter to the Twentynine Palms City Council
I represent approximately 30 people who support OHV trails within the City of Twentynine Palms. We feel that the 4:30 PM early bird meeting is geared towards people that do not work. Due to the fact that most full time employment is from 9 AM – 5 PM I will not be able to voice my opinion at said early bird meeting.
In order to make your mortgage payment and other bills in Twentynine Palms without an illegal income and due to the lack of decent paying jobs in the area most ordinary citizens work down the hill and will not be able to attend said meeting.
Your 4:30 PM meeting will give you a fair representation of citizens that do not work 9-5 but will not represent the working peoples interests in OHV trails.
Please do not be influenced by the special interest groups with their illegal incomes
Vote YES for OHV trails
Ken, you just can’t go before the City Council and expect to speak on behalf of a group of 30 people without disclosing whom you represent. Without which your sphere of influence should only include yourself.
Since I too work until 5, I will not be able to attend the meeting. I have to work in Yucca due to the lack of quality jobs in 29. So by the time I get off and back home to 29, it will be 5:30 (if the traffic cooperates).
Better late than never!
It will be a long meeting!
Even if you are late, they will know you were there…
THAT’S IMPORTANT!!!
Isn’t there a meeting tonight as well? I really wish they wouldn’t have these meetings at 4:30. What normal professional job has hours that get off before 5?
Hi To All,
The meeting was set at 4:30 because there is much to accomplish and the schedule is tight.
One need not be there at 4:30 if one wishes to voice their opinions about OHV use.
I would imagine that the first 30 to 45 minutes will be about waste water treatment proposals – that is where we left off and it was a good discussion. I see more discussion about the waste water treastment options before we move into the “trails” overlay.
Please attend and voice your opinions – it is important.
Mrs. Desertracer
The meetings are held at 4:30 PM to accommodate the majority of people that live in 29 Palms. Since the majority of 29 Palms residents don’t work this time is appropriate. The Thrift stores close at 4:00 PM so this gives ample time for the citizens to jump start their cars.
Steve whatever Sherry Hall and Pat Flanigan voice as an opinion count me and my family in for the opposite.
