Luckino’s Leftovers =Tim Humphreville

Yucca Valley, Ca.- (Opinion/Commentary) With the assistance of Yucca Valley Town Manager, Mark Nuaimi, the seated Council members were given the opportunity to appoint their own Planning Commissioners, that is, with the exception of newly appointed YV Town Council member Robert Lombardo.  He is stuck with “Luckino’s Leftovers=Tim Humphreville.”

Seems that Nuaimi has stripped Lombardo of his right to select his own Planning Commissioner.  Nuaimi decided Planning Commissioner Tim Humphreville is the “exception to the rule” (probably because Humphreville is BFF of Councilman Hagerman and Rowe) and Lombardo is now stuck with Luckino’s appointed commissioner instead of having the right to select his own.

As I see it, this decision by  town employee Nuaimi, is arbitrary, without merit and against the precedence set forth by previous actions. This is most unfair to Councilman Lombardo and to the voters of 2012, when Lombardo will be up for re-election. I cannot think of one good reason that Humphreville must stay on because there are many possible appointments with experience that could take his place……Planning Commissioner Graham, or Planning Commissioner Cooper….or any of the applicants that stepped forward with their great experience and extensive education.

The idea behind the individual selection process “has made the Planning Commission political” as per ex-Mayor Pro-tem Frank Luckino’s remarks.  However, it does give the voting public a glimpse into the thought process of the councilman as he deliberates to select a commissioner that reflects him.

Vice Chair Planning Commissioner, Tim Humphreville, who might rotate into the Chair position by accident, is not a true reflection of Councilman Robert Lombardo.  I served on the dais with both Commissioners and I believe it is an injustice to the citizens of Yucca Valley and a bad reflection on Lombardo if he is stuck with this commissioner. It will doom any chances he may have to run for re-election in 2012. Besides, Humphreville has plans to run for the office of Town Council and stated he would use the time to work on his campaign if he were asked to step down.

Tim, I think  you should do the right thing and step down on your own accord now.  Please do not make this a drama for Councilman Lombardo because he does not need anymore controversy with his appointment. Your lack of social graces, potty mouth and immaturity is the complete opposite of Lombardo.  You rarely study your Planning Commission packet and your mind is made up before the gavel calls the meeting to order. Completely opposite of Lombardo’s style.

Tim it is obvious you did not have the safety for the general public on your heart when you voted against the established protocol to protect a building project for erosion due to our special sandy soil conditions. You felt the minimal State standards would be sufficient even after the extensive presentation of Staff regarding soil conditions because you did not want any builder to have that additional requirement.  You are totally biased because you are a builder and have no regard for the public’s safety.  Lombardo’s first concern is for public safety. When this matter went before the Yucca Valley Town Council, it was reinstated to protect the public with a 3-2 vote, Councilman Hagerman and Rowe voting no.

When I attended a recent Planning Commission meeting regarding the Senior Housing project, Tim Humphreville was not following along to the referenced stamp pages, and questions and appeared to be counting  flies on the wall. The agenda packet was over 300 pages and Humphreville was the only one that did not read it.  I can hardly wait for the time when these meetings become videotaped and the public will be able to see what takes place.

Tim, did you know you will be prohibited to use the title of “Planning Commissioner” on your voter ballot according to the SB Registrar of Voters because it is an appointed position? I guess you will have to list that you are a Builder/Developer on your ballot if business picks up for you.

Step down now and do not try to cling to your appointment by Luckino.  Councilman Lombardo deserves to have his own appointee that will not embarrass him.

I will be posting a few articles reflecting your comments in the letter to the Editor and potty mouth comments directed to contributors of this Blog.

Thank you for your service Tim, it is time for you to move on.

  2. “Margo has political issues…….so she would rather the whole town suffer.”
  3. “…..serving on the planning commission is a learning, fun experience.”
  4. “If I was to be asked to step down that would give me more time to campaign for the town council seat in 2012.
  5. “This town leans way to far to the left. Maybe I could fix that.”
  6. “Humpy for council bumper sticker want some?”
  7. “One never knows whether what Margo spits out is accurate or not. But that is not the point.
  8. “If we as rate payers in the community are paying a little higher rate for our water than the non profits, to water the fields the whole community uses what the hell is wrong with that?”
  9. “The tiered rate for water gets real expensive for large amounts of water.”
  10. “Do  you think the average person in this town worries about the discount the little league field is getting on the water they use, or do you think that they like the quality off life they get by watching their kids play ball on them.

Here we go again … another Sturges fabrication:

“Seems that Nuaimi has stripped Lombardo of his right to select his own Planning Commissioner. The fact is the night CM Lombardo was selected to be the councilmember, the media was already asking him whether he had appointments to commissions coming up. I politely suggested that the media might want to give the newly selected councilmember some time to get into the position and that it wasn’t fair to him to already be asking for commitments on appointments. I’m certain that Rebecca Unger will be able to corroborate this conversation.

Thanks to Margo for further evidence that her motivation is not to report but to fabricate. Still waiting for those links to videos on the web, the email from the folks in Upland, … remember?? (tick, tock, tick, tock).

My story is true. I stand on the facts even while you attempt to bring in Rebecca Unger to support your new version.

Next thing we’ll know, your family members will visit our Town Council meetings to support you. I agree with the one comment during Fontana public comments- it was a blessing your beautiful daughter took after her mother in the looks department.(May/June 2010?)

My story is accurate and now you are trying to put a different slant on the matter.

Bottom line: Councilman Lombardo should have the opportunity to choose his own Planning Commissioner that reflects Lombardo. It is not up to you to call the shots on this because of your need to control all situations, in my opinion.(Remember you are not the elected Mayor of Yucca Valley).

Applications are being taken for Mayor Huntington to select his Planning Commissioner and should be a separate issue.

Are you now going to say Huntington needs more time to settle in or some other poppy cock excuse?

Why not let them both interview at the same time?? It worked fine for Yucca Valley before you took over the process.

Tim Humphreville has plans to run in 2012- let him focus on his dream. Step down Tim..now.
Using the Planning Commission as a springboard to Town Council seems to be the current fad.

    My story is solid.

While YOU DECIDE it isn’t fair for Lombardo to select his appointment for Planning Commissioner because he needs more time, it isn’t fair that you have appointed yourself as Lombardo’s mouthpiece. You underestimate his talents and abilities to make his own decisions.

Shame on you Mark for trying to twist out on this one.

In my opinion, not using an acronym as you can see, Margo and the posters here from Yucca Valley should start your own blog to argue your own politics. You folks have way to many issues going on.

Sorry Dan, it has been a hectic last week. I did not think of this from the humor side of it. You are right. It is pretty funny stuff when you read all of it. Bring it on Yucca Valley.

yep, he needs to go back to funtana where he is loved. He is no friend to Yucca, and does not have the area’s interest in mind, it’s just a stepping stone.
