Yucca Valley, Cal. – After I was chastised by Town Manager Mark Nuaimi for omitting one name of the final candidates to be called back for an interview, I duly thanked him and made the correction.  Nuaimi also took issue that I reported the FINAL applicants were returning on Monday and he said that was not the case because he felt the Town Council had decided to consider all the previous applicants that had been interviewed.

However, the local radio station and our local newspaper reported the same information, as did I, the final six candidates are to be interviewed with an appointment this Monday, July 25, 2011, at 6pm.  Of note: applicant David Cooper was previously interviewed and is now returning again with this “batch.”

Please read the “words of wisdom” in today’s edition of the Hi-Desert Star Editorial Section and by our elder statesman, Robert Thacher, offering sage advice to the Yucca Valley Town Council.  Is anyone listening?
