Flashback: 1 Year Ago-Gary Daigneault, Z107.7

Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree, Ca.(OPINION/COMMENTARY)- A graduate of the Z107.7 ROP Broadcasting program told me instructor Gary Daigneault, was citing a “faux pas” example of not requiring “double attribution.”  Z107.7 made an error reporting a false story that I was a party to filing a FPPC complaint against YV Councilman Frank Luckino.

The truth was, I was listed as a witness without my knowledge.

The Hi-Desert Star newspaper set the record straight with the facts on the front page, Z107.7 did not retract THAT story of April 2009 and I am not holding my breath for an apology either.  Ever since that “special moment in time” with egg on Daigneault’s face, he has placed me in his sights for personal attacks. Whatever turns him on……

Sometimes it is best to post a story on the Cactus Thorns front page rather than providing the link in a comment. Many readers have told me they do not bother with the bickering and mud slinging section of the comments section especially since many comments are off the subject matter without adding any value to the story.

Here is a story from one year ago about Hi-Desert Water District Board Member, Bob Stadum, being fined for conflict of interest by the FPPC.  Even after being presented with the documents, Z107.7 did not correct their version of the actual facts, remaining in denial the FPPC fine ever existed. Gary remained mum on the truth.

This story listed below is regarding a serious offense of conflict of interest and Gary Daigneault’s failure to report the story.  Cactus Thorns broke with the story posting the documents from the FPPC and the Hi-Desert Star covered this story too.
