Very nice picture of the Burdetts.

I wish Steve could look at their loving picture and realize with a show of respect and compassion that these fine folks built their beautiful home within the city limits up there with their own two hands, raised a family there and don't deserve to have Steve's range invade their very existence with all that noise from a gun range 600 some feet away from their hacienda.

Steve, show more respect this family and the neighborhood. Be a more compassionate human being.

City Council, do your jobs or resign and let someone with common sense come in and do it.

City Attorney (with an out of town law firm), you do this City a great disservice for your incompetent legal advice, or lack there of, which ever may be the case. This City may need a change of its City Attorney.

"Keep it up with me and I promise you I will re-read every comment you have ever made and reply with TRUE facts that will blow your socks off."

Please do, read all of my comments and blow my socks off. I am glad I have brought humor into your life too. I hope that you do call ALL of those numbers. By the second one you call, I am sure you will be on their nut watch list too. Did you know that the police/government does not have any restrictions on call tracing and that it occurs the instant you make contact? None of this "keep them on the phone for 30 seconds until the trace is complete". That is old school. It happens instantly no matter if your call is "blocked" or not. Just thought you might like to know that fact....

Oh, so we have come to my point again. You change the subject and call me names! Wow, didn't you accuse someone of the same thing? BTY, I have not followed you. I am following the comments and articles. Get over yourself! You are NOT that important to me. I'm just sick of seeing how you want to turn everything away from the real issue. THERE IS NO WARRANTED NEED FOR A RANGE IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD.

I mentioned the following:

Govt Code Section 3004
3004. (a) It is unlawful for any person, other than the owner,
person in possession of the premises, or a person having the express
permission of the owner or person in possession of the premises, to
hunt or to discharge while hunting, any firearm or other deadly
weapon within 150 yards of any occupied dwelling house, residence, or
other building or any barn or other outbuilding used in connection
therewith. The 150-yard area is a “safety zone.”
(b) It is unlawful for any person to intentionally discharge any
firearm or release any arrow or crossbow bolt over or across any
public road or way open to the public, in an unsafe manner.

And

City of 29 palms Municipal Code
Chapter 11.12
PROHIBITION OF NIGHT SHOOTING

11.12.010; Prohibition of night shooting.

Section 22.014 of the San Bernardino County Code, adopted by reference as City Code pursuant to Chapter 1. 02, is hereby amended to read as follows:
It shall be unlawful to shoot or discharge any firearm between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise of the following day within the City Limits of the City of Twentynine Palms, except in defense of life or property and as set out in Section 22.013—Exemptions as adopted by reference by the City. (90-77 § 2)

Also I have listed the below contacts:

*Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms (818) 265-2510
*Defense Criminal Investigative Services 800-424-9098
*US Environmental Protection Agency 800-962-6215
*Federal Bureau of Investigation (800) 225-5324
*Internal Revenue Service (877) 829-5500
*Naval Criminal Investigative Service (619) 556-1364
*US Attorney’s Office 888-283-8477
*California Highway Patrol 760-366-3707
*San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office 909-387-8309
*San Bernardino County Sheriff (760) 366-4175
*Office of Inspector General (202) 226-1250
*City of Twentynine Palms, Code Enforcement (760) 367-6799
*California Attorney General (916) 227-4557.
*US Department of Justice 800-283-4867

Now if you want to, I don't believe you will, you may contact the above listed numbers and see want they would say about poor Mr. Donnell and see if they feel the same way you do.

I have given no reason for you to attack me, others have said none the less. And poor you, you even asked this site for help like a school girl tattle telling, "teacher, teacher, he called me a bad name."

Can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen!!

The only thing I regret, is not having said more, earlier.

Others are laughing at you for being so one sided. All I have done is put out is info. (see above)

Keep it up with me and I promise you I will re-read every comment you have ever made and reply with TRUE facts that will blow your socks off.

Have a very happy new year, and may all you resolutions come to be true and meaningful.

Thumbs up to the man carrying the concealed weapon who may have saved the lives of everyone in that store. Per the article, I am in total agreement that the public should have the right, if they so desire, to carry a concealed weapon if they are responsible law-abiding citizens, are annually training by a qualified instructor, and have a healthy mindset. I believe Twentynine Palms already has a licensed pistol range where this training could take place. If not, then maybe we need another range... just not one located in a residential neighborhood!

I must correct my self again. My original post was on target. The story is indeed about an incident in Richmond VA.

The cross posting of news stories via the web can get things a little muddied.
