It seems HDWD General Manager, Ed Muzik, has been playing games with radio journalist Gary Daigneault about the acquisition of the Blue Skies Country Club Golf Couse.
Daigneault alleged this morning on his Morning Show news that Muzik mislead him in a press release about the HDWD’s negotiations for the purchase of the Blue Skies Country Club.
At first, Muzik told journalist Daigneault the HDWD were buying Blue Skies Country Club to save rate payers money on the water rights beneath Blue Skies, a savings of $250,000 a year. Daigneault alleges Muzik also failed to “mentioning savings will only be realized if the land remains completely unused.”
However, last Friday on the radio station’s “UP-Close” show hosted by Daigneault, Muzik told Daigneault the district is buying it “so we have control.” Doesn’t this begs the question which time was Muzik telling stories to the Hall of Fame journalist?
Daigneault alleges Muzik “did not reveal that, by law, water taken from Blue Skies can only be used at Blue Skies” — thus rendering the property mostly useless for a golf course. Indeed, Daignaeult is pissed. That was very evident this morning and during last Friday’s ‘Up-Close” show. Daigneault sunk his teeth into the hind side of Muzik like I’m never heard him do before.
Frankly, I have to side with Daigneault.
Is there a lesson to be learned by this? Don’t hide the ball or mislead Daigneault. If you do, it’s best to have an experienced proctologist lined up for reconstructive surgery.
It’s better to read the story yourself. Goto Z107.7 FM – HI-DESERT WATER DISTRICT MISLEADING IN BLUE SKIES COUNTY CLUB ACQUISITION
