CERT works with the 29 Palms Fire Department to ready people in the event of a disaster. We inform citizens about disaster preparedness, assist public safety agencies and local community boards with public events, respond to local disasters in accordance with CERT protocols and support emergency personnel upon their arrival and request, assist agencies in managing spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site, and participate in community outreach opportunities. Sponsored by Reach Out Morongo Basin, CERT is here to help the community in the event of a disaster.
