FAILURE TO REGISTER – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s Sex Offender Registration Officer arrested Richard Glen Gibson, 59, of Bullhead City, late Monday (1/3) morning for failure to register as a sex offender registration, felony. Approximately 10:45 a.m., the Sex Offender Registration Officer contacted Gibson at Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Investigations determined that Gibson was not compliant with the requirements of a registered sex offender to maintain accurate address information. Gibson was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

RESISTING ARREST/HINDERING PROSECUTION – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Ray Parker, 36, of Fort Mohave, and Michael Gene Mitchell, 36, a transient, Monday (1/3) evening. Parker was arrested for resisting arrest and hindering prosecution, felonies. Mitchell was arrested on a failure to appear felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court. Deputies learned the whereabouts of a wanted felon identified as Mitchell. Approximately 9:30 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 4400 block of Cielo Azul Drive. Upon arrival, deputies contacted Parker. Deputies questioned Parker about Mitchell and Parker said that he did not know him. A short time later, deputies located Mitchell in the back yard of the residence hiding under a piece of carpet. Mitchell was taken into custody without incident. Deputies re-contacted Parker and he advised that he knew the subject to be Mitchell. Parker become agitated as deputies questioned him further. Parker was taken into custody after he struggled and resisted. Parker and Mitchell were transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Emil Smith, 47, of Fort Mohave, early Tuesday (1/4) morning for possession of dangerous drugs and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. At about 1:15 a.m., as deputies were traveling eastbound on Joy Lane, approaching Ashley Street, they observed a vehicle with no lights on traveling at a high rate of speed and approaching them from behind. The deputy immediately turned their patrol vehicle around and got behind the offending vehicle. The vehicle abruptly stopped in the roadway and the passenger and driver’s door opened. As deputies were initiating a high risk contact, the passenger took off running into the desert. The deputy ordered the driver to stop as he started to run. Deputies detained the driver identified as Smith. Fort Mohave Tribal Police Officers, Bullhead City Police Officers and Department of Public Safety Kingman Ranger responded. The Kingman Ranger began an aerial search while a ground search was carried out. A through search of the area was conducted without locating the passenger/suspect. A search of Smith revealed a glass pipe with burnt residue and a small stainless steel container with a plastic bag of methamphetamine. Deputies questioned Smith regarding his passenger and Smith advised that he did not know the guy. Smith transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

PROMOTING PRISON CONTRABAND – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail Thursday (12/30) morning regarding an inmate in possession of drugs. Approximately 8:54 a.m., deputies contacted a Detention Officer at the Mohave County Jail regarding inmate Michael Shawn Miskowsky, 25, of Lake Havasu City, in possession of a black tar substance. The Detention Officer reported that the substance was located while Miskowsky was showering. Deputies contacted Miskowsky. During conversations with Miskowsky, he said that he found the drugs. Deputies determined the substance to be heroin. Miskowsky was arrested for promoting prison contraband and possession of narcotic drugs, felonies.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Samantha Dawn Hemberger, 32, of Fort Mohave, early Thursday (12/30) evening for aggravated assault per domestic violence, felony. While deputies were patrolling in the 4500 block of Highway 95, they observed a female driving a vehicle abruptly. The vehicle approached a parking lot and appeared that the brakes were applied hard, thereby almost hitting a male subject walking. At about 5:40 p.m., deputies contacted the female driver identified as Hemberger and the male subject. Investigations determined that Hemberger and the male subject knew one another and Hemberger borrowed the vehicle earlier that day from the male subject. During conversations with Hemberger, she said that they were arguing and she was following him in the vehicle. Deputies contacted the male subject and he said that Hemberger sped up and almost hit him as she slammed on the brakes. Hemberger was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mary Jane Gould, 26, of Kingman, early Friday (12/31) evening for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 6:08 p.m., deputies contacted a female, later identified as Gould, walking westbound on Snavely Avenue and Melody Street. Deputies questioned Gould about having anything illegal on her and Gould said that she has some marijuana stems. A search of Gould revealed a tin container with marijuana inside and a plastic bag containing a white crystal residue. During conversations with Gould, she said the pants she was wearing belonged to another person. Gould was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – HORIZON SIX

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Scott Fritchle, 26, of Horizon Six, early Saturday (1/1) morning for assault per domestic violence and threatening, misdemeanors. Approximately 12:05 a.m., deputies responded to a fight at a residence in the 4000 block of Blue Canyon Road. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Fritchle assaulted his girlfriend and threatened a neighbor. Deputies located Fritchle fully clothed in bed and detained him. Deputies contacted Fritchle’s girlfriend and she reported that Fritchle started hitting her after he pushed her down the front porch. During conversations with Fritchle, he said nothing happened. Fritchle was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

UNLAWFUL FLIGHT – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joyce L Corbin, 49, of Kingman, early Saturday (1/1) evening for unlawful flight from law enforcement, felony, and exceed speed limit by 20/45 MPH, misdemeanor. Approximately 6:48 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle speeding in the 4300 block of Bank Street. Utilizing a radar device, deputies determined the vehicle was traveling 72 miles per hour in a posted 35 MPH zone. Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop as the vehicle turned onto Northern Avenue, but the vehicle continued without stopping. Deputies observed the vehicle accelerate rapidly. Deputies discontinued making contact. A short time later, another deputy observed the offending vehicle pull in front of a residence in the 1900 block of Northfield Avenue. Deputies contacted the driver identified as Corbin. During conversations with Corbin, she said that she had abad night. Corbin was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/BURGLARY – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan Malcolm Leary, 25, of Kingman, early Sunday (1/2) morning for aggravated assault (entering residence) and burglary (unlawful entry), felonies. Approximately 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to an assault call at a residence in the 3500 block of John L Avenue. Investigations determined that Leary made entry into the residence with a few unknown subjects and assaulted two victims; a 24-year-old female and a 22-year-old male. Medical responded and treated both victims. A short time later, deputies located Leary at a residence in the 2400 block of Emerson Avenue and took him into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

SUSPENDED LICENSE – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Amy Lynn Jones, 35, of Mohave Valley, Sunday (1/2) morning for driving with a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Deputies observed a speeding vehicle traveling 57 miles per hour in a posted 45 MPH zone. At about 5:40 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at milepost 232 and contacted Jones, the driver. A record check showed Jones to have a suspended driver’s license. Jones was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

MARIJUANA/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Edward Wade Reed, 43, of Kingman, early Sunday (1/2) evening for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, a probation violation warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court, all felonies, along with a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies learned of the whereabouts of a wanted felon identified as Reed. Approximately 5:09 p.m., deputies contacted Reed at a residence in the 2600 block of Hearne Avenue. Reed was taken into custody without incident. A record check confirmed the outstanding warrants. A search of Reed revealed a pill bottle containing marijuana and a pipe with residue. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

SUSPENDED LICENSE – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Buddy Dale Lott, 41, of Golden Valley, early Sunday (1/2) evening for driving with a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Deputies observed a speeding vehicle traveling 40 miles per hour in a posted 25 MPH zone. At about 7:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Lawrence Way and Anson Smith Road. Deputies contacted Lott, the driver. A record check showed Lott to have a suspended driver’s license. Lott was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tristan Adair Mauerhan, 21, of Fort Mohave, early Sunday (1/2) evening for aggravated assault (adult on a minor) per domestic violence, felony. Approximately 6:24 p.m., deputies responded to an assault call at a residence in the 4400 block of Caitlan Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party, a 12-year-old male victim. The victim reported that Mauerhan, his step-brother, slapped him after he locked Mauerhan out of the back door for a few seconds. Deputies observed a small scratch mark on his nose. Deputies contacted Mauerhan. During conversations with Mauerhan, he said that he went to slap his step-brother but accidentally scratched his nose with his finger nail. Mauerhan was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
