Whistle blowers restore trust in local and county government

When public officials digress be it knowingly or unwittingly, it undermines the social order, promotes disrespect and gives rise to cynicism in the public sector. It drives people away from the voting process.

The principles of good government are formed and maintained by the public. The public is responsible for their public officials, and bound by a sense of duty to teach by way of example. The Founding Fathers granted the public this inalienable right and responsibility. If public officials are not maintaining practical ethics, the public should rotates her players.

When ethical breaches or misuse of the public trust transpires, it should be reported. If the whistle is not blown we are not doing our job. If we are not doing our job, it’s an insult to all Americans who fought or gave their all defending the Constitution and the genesis of our way of life.

Whistle blowing encourages and promotes practical ethics in government (sunshine is the best disinfectant). Hence, whistle-blowing in local, county, state or federal government is encouraged. I wonder things like whether or not there is a good and proven method for recalling Senators and Congressmen who get caught up in schemes in D.C. and vote for measures that work contrary to the interest of the people of various states.

I really don’t know about this and have done no research in that direction.

Is this something that the Governor would do?

I know that recall efforts can be performed on a local level, but how about up that ladder?

    Does anyone happen to know?
